Firefly Lighting Employee Garden 2010 ... |
|
This produce was raised organically in 2009! ![]() Employee garden 2010. |
In 2010 we have decided that the Fireflies are going to begin to have an employee garden. Several companies around the United States have chosen to grow gardens to keep morale up and encourage a team spirit. In addition, we think it will also help employees keep their food costs down and keep employees and their families healthy. Our Firefly Lighting team thought this was a very great idea. We are excited to see what we will be able to grow when spring arrives. This picture was taken on January 16, 2010. We all got together on a Saturday and laid out the veggie garden and shared delicous tacos, and later David/Alberto made a yummy grilled dinner. Each gardener has their own plot and we decided to do raised vegetable beds. We are all using mesh to keep our gophers out. Kat is experimenting with a triangle shaped raised bed. David is going to have one BIG area. Daniel is making the forms for everybody with steel panels. Alberto is probably already harvesting - a true jardinero! |
